When You Donate to Mountain Park Rescue Squad,

You Help Fund Your Own Community, ...

Our purpose is to serve you, often in your most dire time of need. Financial security enables our squad to operate with the best equipment with the best personnel.

...you Help Secure The Future of Emergency Services, ...

A large portion of our funding goes into recruitment and maintenance of both personnel and equipment. Even as volunteers, financial security is vital to making sure that there are people to respond today, and to make sure that people respond tomorrow.

... And You Invest Into Your Own Response.

Rescue Squads in Surry County are not funded by the fire tax or any other dedicated tax. The only public funding received is a small allocation each quarter. On its own, it does not fund much beyond very basic operations. The majority of our income comes from donations and fundraisers, followed by grants.

When you donate to us, you directly fund the service that responds to your rescue and first response needs. Your small contribution adds up to be our biggest support!

WHERE WILL MY MONEY GO TO?

This donation is a general donation button. These funds will go towards our general funds, which can be used for:

  • Training and classes for personnel

  • Recruitment of new personnel

  • Vehicle maintenance and repair

  • Equipment maintenance and repair

  • New gear, tools, supplies, and equipment

  • Capital debts (mortgage, vehicle payments, etc.)

  • Capital acquisition (new building, vehicles, etc.)

  • Professional services (attorney, etc.)

Wanting to fund something specific?

We will periodically run fundraisers dedicated to specific to certain projects. Additionally, you can propose and represent your view on funding allocations during board meetings. Anyone in the community is able to attend and voice concerns, proposals, and commendations at these board meetings. Visit our resources page for meeting times and days.
